| I'm Grateful |
On the flight in, somehow I knew, despite being completely out of my head, that this place could change my life - if I let it. But then I was there only 15 minutes before I decided I was in the wrong place. Rehab wasn't for me, Minnesota wasn't for me. Fuck it
But there was a mix of people and principles there that slowly began to absorb into me. There was a kind of quiet, underlying message that said, "You're in the right place. We understand. We care about you. We can show you the way out."
And they did. A month in Center City, Minnesota, then time at Fellowship Club in Saint Paul. The first convinced me maybe I had a problem that I couldn't fix on my own. The second began to show me how to live my life.
So I'm out here for Hazelden. I'm grateful to them, and I'm interested in helping.
